The Wort Hotel in Jackson, Wyoming is described as haunted due to the reported presence of several ghosts, including a friendly former engineer named Robert "Bob" Tomingas, who plays tricks on staff, and the spirits of two young McAuliffe sisters, murdered at the hotel in 1964, whose cries and giggles are heard in the hallways. Robert "Bob" Tomingas was the hotel's maintenance engineer in the 1950s, known for his mechanical skills. He is described as a friendly ghost who enjoys playing pranks on the hotel's current staff. Tomingas was a mechanical genius who rebuilt the hotel's heating, water, and electrical systems, and it's said he liked fixing things and continues to do so in spirit. In 1964, the oldest two of the three McAuliffe girls were murdered by an intruder at the Wort Hotel. Hotel workers and guests have reported hearing the sounds of children crying, screaming, giggling, and running down the hallways, especially near the area behind the front desk. Some have also seen children peering out of the hotel's windows.
