Summerwind Mansion was known for widespread and intense paranormal activity, including unexplained cold spots, floating orbs, mists, disembodied voices and whispers, and objects moving on their own. Visitors and investigators reported witnessing apparitions, seeing the environment change (such as rooms appearing to alter in size), and feeling unseen presences. The mansion, also known as the Lamont Mansion, was the site of a murder and several mysterious occurrences before it was destroyed by a fire in 1988. Sightings of ghosts, specters, and shadows were common, along with floating orbs and moving mists. Disembodied voices, whispers, and strange noises were frequently reported. Objects would move by themselves, windows would open or close, and cold breezes would be felt with no apparent source. Some reported that rooms appeared to change size or shape. The mansion was believed to be haunted from its early days, with a reported incident of the owner firing at what he thought was an intruder, only to find nothing.
