Wing Luke Museum, Seattle
The Wing Luke Museum is believed to be haunted by several spirits, particularly a vengeful and hateful ghost. Staff and visitors have reported paranormal activity, from phantom sounds to objects being moved. The museum is located in Seattle's historic Chinatown-International District, and its building, a former hotel, is said to be the source of much of the supernatural phenomena. An intolerant and aggressive spirit is said to frequent the museum, with a reported history of smashing artifacts and displays. According to one account, the ghost even smashed display cases that were over a mile apart from one another. Several staff members have reported hearing a cat meowing near the exit door, though no animal is found when the door is opened. A visitor reportedly validated this phenomenon by asking about a large orange cat they had seen on a ship, which staff believe was a ghostly manifestation. In the collection storage room, a clairvoyant perceived the presence of a child from the early 1800s. The spirit is described as a little girl who laughs and makes piano-like noises. She is said to be attached to a specific doll in the museum's collection, which she is seen playing with in a rocking chair. The spirit is thought to be unaware that she has been dead for over 200 years.
