Chester is also blamed for jamming copiers, malfunctioning equipment, and mysteriously missing food from refrigerators, particularly during late-night work sessions. Some believe Chester may be the spirit of a former theatre employee who still occasionally appears in "the cave," an area adjacent to the costume shop. An older, separate story suggests that a female resident on the third floor of Griffith Hall jumped to her death after reading an unfavorable Ouija board prediction.
