The Camberly Gunter Hotel (now The Gunter Hotel) is reportedly haunted by several spirits, including a boy who died in the 1920s and a murdered guest whose last moments are said to repeat in Room 636. Other reported phenomena include unexplained object movement, cold spots, and faint music from the blues musician Robert Johnson's former room. A man under the alias "Albert Knox" was the victim of a brutal murder in the hotel in 1965, and guests and staff have reported the gruesome event replaying itself in Room 636. A small boy is said to haunt the 12th floor after he died playing in the Crystal Ballroom, breaking his neck after a fall. The spirit of blues legend Robert Johnson is rumored to linger in Room 414, with some reporting faint music coming from it. Some paranormal accounts mention other ghosts like "Ingrid" and "Peggy," and some sources suggest the hotel was briefly used as a hospital, leading to potential spirits of former patients and staff. In addition to the apparitions, the hotel has been the site of other reported supernatural activities, such as: Objects being thrown or moving on their own, Electronics turning on and off, Cold spots in certain areas, and Unexplained photobombing in photos.
