The Inn at Hunt-Phelan, Memphis
The Hunt-Phelan Home, also known as The Inn at Hunt-Phelan, is a historic Memphis estate with numerous reported haunting phenomena, including the ghost of a former servant, Nathaniel, said to reveal hidden treasure under the full moon, and unexplained footsteps, phantom voices, and objects moving on their own. The house's rich Civil War history, having served as a headquarters for Confederate and Union generals, contributes to the lingering supernatural presences. A former servant named Nathaniel is said to guard a hidden treasure and will reveal its location during a full moon. Guests and staff have reported hearing disembodied voices, such as a housekeeper's voice saying, "I'm just here to clean". Footsteps and other sounds have been heard in empty rooms. Objects have been reported as moving on their own within the house.
