Fairvue/Isaac Franklin Plantation, Gallatin
Fairvue/Isaac Franklin Plantation is rumored to be haunted by the spirits of Isaac Franklin's children, including Victoria Franklin, a mysterious Union soldier, and potentially some of the enslaved people who lived and worked on the plantation. Visitors and workers have reported sightings of shadowy figures, unexplained blue lights, strange noises, shadowy figures in photographs, and inexplicable phenomena like disappearing tools. The primary reported spirits are the five children of Isaac Franklin and his wife, Adelicia, all of whom died in childhood. The most commonly mentioned is Victoria Franklin, believed to be the ghost of a young girl. A spectral Union soldier has been seen wandering the grounds. Some reports indicate the presence of spirits from the many enslaved people involved in Franklin's slave-trading dealings. A peculiar blue light that races across the property at night is a recurring phenomenon, and unexplained orbs of light have also been reported.
