The Holley House, also known as the Hotel Aiken, is considered a haunted location in Aiken, SC, where reported paranormal activity includes shadowy figures in hallways, self-flushing toilets, doors opening and closing on their own, and prankster ghosts moving unattended maid carts. Room 302 is particularly noted as a haunted spot within the lodging. Guests and staff have reported seeing shadowy figures moving quickly through the hallways. Some toilets have been known to flush by themselves. Doors have been observed opening and closing without any apparent cause. A "prankster ghost" is said to move maid carts from one end of the hall to the other when they are left unattended. Room 302 is believed to be one of the most haunted areas in the hotel. The building opened in 1898 as the Hotel Aiken before being renamed the Commercial Hotel after a remodel in 1929. It now operates under the name Holley House.
