Triangular Field, Gettysburg
The Triangular Field at Gettysburg is described as a haunted location where visitors report disembodied battle sounds, moans, screams, and distant cannon fire, as well as the appearance of ghostly Confederate sharpshooters and apparitions of dying soldiers. Visitors have also experienced inexplicable equipment malfunctions, with cameras sometimes failing to work in the area. The field's association with the intense fighting and high number of casualties on the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg, especially the area near Devil's Den, contributes to the belief that the tormented souls of fallen soldiers remain there. Disembodied battle sounds, cannon fire, screams, moaning, and "rebel yells" are frequently reported. Visitors have described seeing shadowy figures, apparitions of Confederate sharpshooters, and impressions of bodies in the grass. Cameras and other electronic equipment are sometimes reported to fail or malfunction in the field.
