The Greater Columbus Antiques Mall, located in a former Victorian mansion on South High Street, is rumored to be haunted due to its history as a funeral home and crematorium. The mansion itself was built in 1889, adding to its eerie, historic atmosphere. A visitor reportedly had a conversation with a woman on the second floor, who then vanished into a wall. A male apparition has been spotted multiple times on the third floor of the building. One story suggests the ghost of a woman in a yellow dress can be heard crying and wandering the building. The mall is also said to be haunted by a "gentle" ghost with a handlebar mustache, possibly one of the embalmers from the building's funeral home era. A former psychic vendor at the mall claimed to have felt a presence and channeled a female spirit who may have died in a workplace accident when the building was a factory. Staff and dealers have reported hearing strange noises when closing up at night. Psychics and those sensitive to paranormal activity also report strong presences, particularly on the third floor and near the elevator. The elevator has been a source of unsettling feelings for some people. A psychic once experienced a vision of a man falling to his death while looking at it, potentially during its installation or repair.
