The Linck Inn, Maumee
The Linck Inn was associated with multiple ghost sightings, including the "Lilac Lady," a female apparition leaving a floral scent, the "Prostitute," a female spirit believed to have died by suicide, and a phantom child and a carpenter who fell from the roof. The building also reportedly exhibited cold spots and mysteriously rearranged furniture, particularly during its time as the Dégagé Jazz Café. The current business, Levi & Lilac's Whiskey Room, embraces these legends and is named after some of the purported spirits. A female ghost is frequently seen in the upstairs hallways, leaving behind the faint smell of fresh lilacs. Some report seeing a woman hanging from the rafters, only for her to disappear. She is believed to have died by suicide. An odiferous ghost, the spirit of a carpenter who fell from the roof, is sometimes seen. Another reported ghost is that of a young child. During the Dégagé Jazz Café era, there were reports of cold spots, disembodied voices, and furniture that would mysteriously move.
