Patterson Tower, also known as the Witch's Tower, is a haunted structure in Kettering, Ohio, where a 16-year-old girl named Peggy Ann Harmeson died after being struck by lightning in 1967, leading to ongoing ghost stories of her appearance, other shadowy figures, and mysterious scorch marks on the ground. While the tower's door is sealed and it's closed to the public, the legends persist. A 16-year-old girl was killed in the tower during a lightning storm in 1967. Her companion also sustained severe burns and memory loss. Despite the sealed-off nature of the tower, stories of ghostly sightings and strange phenomena continue to circulate. Reports include seeing a woman in a black robe, shadowy figures, and the ghostly appearances of Peggy and a boy during lightning. Unexplained scorch marks on the ground surrounding the tower are often associated with the paranormal stories. The tower was once open to the public but has since been permanently sealed with concrete, and access is restricted.
