The Old Courthouse Theatre in Concord, NC, is reportedly haunted by an apparition known as "The Deacon". Built in 1922 as a Baptist church, the building has a reputation for paranormal activity. The Deacon's alleged activities include: Hall lights are said to flicker on and off without cause. Set pieces have reportedly rattled on their own, and stage lights have shifted. In one instance, a KitKat candy bar left in a dressing room was later found in a prop tree. People have reported hearing jingling keys and singing voices when no one is present. A stage piece was once allegedly thrown at a person who was walking down a hall.
