Paranormal activity is said to include disembodied whispers, the sight of a shadowed apparition on the grounds, and objects like a family cane moving inexplicably. Visitors and reenactors have reported seeing human-like forms and shadowed figures on the property. Sounds of children playing or running around the third floor and in the attic are often heard. There are reports of furniture moving and a family cane that once belonged to the Latta family jumping up and moving on its own. Some describe an unsettling feeling on the property, even if they haven't personally seen any spirits. The original Latta family is believed by some to still reside in their former home, despite having died over a century ago.
