The Horace Williams House in Chapel Hill is said to be haunted by the ghost of Horace Williams, the philosophy professor who willed the property to the University in 1940. People have reported seeing him, hearing him Visitors claim to have spoken with or even seen the ghost of Horace Williams within the house. Reports include an empty rocking chair moving forcefully by itself and fire utensils found out of their usual places.
