The Country Club of Troy, Troy
While official haunted descriptions are not readily available, Capital Region folklore includes a specific ghost story about the Country Club of Troy. According to the legend, sightings have been reported of a waitress who worked at the club in the 1970s. It is rumored that one winter night, the waitress was on her way to work when she lost control of her car on the ice. Her vehicle slid off the road and over a bridge, and she fell to her death. Her ghost has reportedly been seen by people driving past the club late at night. In addition to the sighting of the waitress, some have claimed to see footprints in the snow that lead into the nearby woods, even during the daytime.
