The Wool Warehouse, now an event center in Albuquerque, is rumored to be haunted by its former owner, Frank Bond. The historic building is located at 516 1st Street Northwest and is on the Historic Register. The ghost of Frank Bond: A prominent sheep rancher and business mogul, Frank Bond was the original proprietor of the building in the early 1900s, when it was a bustling hub for the wool trade. Ghost stories suggest that Bond's spirit has never left the building, and paranormal enthusiasts claim he continues to haunt it today. In addition to Bond's alleged haunting, some accounts describe the presence of a "depressed ghost" at a wool shop. This detail comes from a fictional book series, The Haunted Yarn Shop Mystery Series, by Molly MacRae, but some descriptions of the actual Wool Warehouse may have been influenced by or intertwined with this popular ghost story.
