The road is a country road outside of Nebraska City, also known as Road L on official maps. People claim to hear the screams and moans of the sisters at night and see white gowns or fluttering lights. Visitors have reported that their cars stop working, batteries drain, or cars refuse to pass, which is attributed to the restless spirits of the sisters. There are no records of the alleged murders in local newspapers from the 1850s onwards.
