The place is now called Darlene's Coffee Shop and is said to be haunted by the dead stepfather, who appears as a spectral figure and has been mistaken for a live person. The haunting reportedly includes weird noises, odd occurrences in the lower level, the appearance of live snakes in the apartment, and a 3-year-old child who was bothered by the "man" at night.
