According to local legends, the Skatin' Place in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is haunted by a ghost named Gilbert. The ghost is said to be the spirit of a man who once lived in a farmhouse on the property and died in the swampy land where the rink now stands. The alleged paranormal activity attributed to Gilbert includes: Arcade game lights reportedly turn on and off by themselves. The sound of walking has been heard on the roof. Gilbert's voice once reportedly came over the CD player after hours, even though the system was off and had no disc in it. His image has supposedly appeared in an air vent during skating sessions.
