The building, a Victorian-style structure, once served as the Allegan County Jail and now houses artifacts from the county's past, alongside its rumored ghostly resident. Her spirit is said to appear on various floors, including the basement and attic. A donated Bible, containing a lock of her hair and a flower, serves as a connection to her memory. The Victorian-style building served as the Allegan County Jail from 1906 to the 1960s. Five inmates died while incarcerated in the jail. Several paranormal groups have investigated the museum, with some claiming to have communicated with the spirits.
