The Penny House Inn in Eastham, MA, was known for being haunted by playful spirits who would open doors, turn on lights, move objects, and whisper names, with one of the spirits referred to as the "Goodnight Ghost". However, the inn is now permanently closed, so there are no current opportunities to encounter these phenomena. Spirits at the inn, including the "Goodnight Ghost," were known for their lighthearted pranks, such as opening doors, turning on lights, and moving glasses. Guests and staff have reported hearing whispers of names and experiencing music suddenly blasting in the spa. At least two ghosts were said to inhabit the inn, believed by the former operator, Fitzgerald, to have a playful sense of humor. The Penny House Inn is no longer in operation.
