The Brunswick Heritage Museum is considered haunted by some, with paranormal investigators documenting a variety of strange occurrences. The museum occupies a former railroad YMCA, and reports of ghostly activity are said to predate the museum's 1974 opening. Documented paranormal activity includes: Visitors and staff have heard phantom voices as well as unexplained spectral sounds. A recurring full-bodied apparition of a woman in white has been reported on the building's second floor. In addition to the "lady in white," full-bodied apparitions of other figures have been seen. Reports include electrical anomalies, strange footprints and handprints, and peculiar technological incidents.
