The cemetery is reportedly "literally buzzing with the paranormal," according to one Facebook group dedicated to paranormal research. Visitors and ghost hunters claim to have captured strange audio and frequencies, including electronic voice phenomena (EVP). At least one paranormal group, Riverside Iowa Paranormal, has conducted investigations at the cemetery. They reported using equipment such as basic audio recorders for EVPs and K2 (EMF) meters that picked up unexplained energy spikes. Spirit movement and communication: Investigators have also used motion sensors, such as jingle bells, which are said to have detected spirit movement.
