Tippecanoe Place is known for numerous alleged paranormal activities, including a manager feeling a spectral woman, secretaries hearing loud noises from the attic, and bartenders experiencing cold spots, feeling watched, or seeing things out of the corner of their eyes. There are reports of lights turning on by themselves, faucets activating spontaneously, and expensive liquor bottles falling from shelves after someone expressed disbelief in ghosts. Guests have also reported experiencing cold spots and seeing faces in restroom mirrors. Reports include a manager seeing a woman in white walk through him, employees seeing apparitions or faces in mirrors, and glimpses of figures out of the corner of the eye. Secretaries and managers have heard a tremendous uproar from the attic, sounding like chairs being thrown, though no one was found there. Cold spots are frequently reported by employees and guests. Faucets have been known to turn on by themselves at the bar, and once, an expensive bottle of liquor fell off the shelf after a bartender said he didn't believe in ghosts. Lights are often seen turning back on after an employee leaves a room, and one particular Tiffany lamp has been found lit even after being unplugged. The activity began appearing soon after Tippecanoe Place opened as a restaurant in 1980.
