Hanover College is reportedly haunted by a few different spirits, most notably the ghost of Albert G. Parker Jr., a former president who is said to roam Parker Auditorium, which he once led. Additionally, stories suggest a student spirit who died by suicide in a dorm room in Donner Residence Hall is responsible for unexplained sounds and moving objects. Parker Auditorium: The spirit of Albert G. Parker Jr., the former president of Hanover College, is believed to inhabit the auditorium. Janitors and professors have reported hearing unexplained noises, including closing doors and footsteps that vanish, as well as strange mumbling sounds. Donner Residence Hall: The East Wing of this residence hall is said to be haunted by the ghost of a student who committed suicide in the dorm. This spirit is often blamed for moving objects and causing unexplained sounds. Unexplained sounds, such as groans, mumbling, and closing doors, are frequently heard. Objects have been reported as missing or moved from their original locations. A former professor heard footsteps upstairs after a door closed and then found the footsteps had vanished, a phenomenon also observed by a janitor.
