Millikin University is rumored to be haunted by the "Rail Girl" in the Albert Taylor Theatre, who is appeased by offerings of candy. Other alleged haunted locations include the Old Gym, where footsteps and basketballs are heard; Aston Hall, said to be haunted by a student who fell to her death; and Blackburn Hall, named for its resident ghost, Bonnie Blackburn. Albert Taylor Theatre: The "Rail Girl" is a ghost seen in the upper section of the theater, near a rail. She is said to be a harmless ghost, but to ensure she doesn't play pranks, students leave three pieces of candy for her before a show. Old Gymnasium: This area is reported to have unexplained occurrences, with alumni and faculty hearing footsteps, the sound of a basketball dribbling, and voices. Aston Hall: This residence hall is said to be haunted by a student who died after falling from the stairs. Blackburn Hall: The namesake of this building is the resident ghost, Bonnie Blackburn. Greek Houses: Some of the university's Greek houses are also rumored to be haunted.
