Grant Hospital, Chicago
Grant Hospital (originally German Hospital), renamed Lincoln Park Hospital after the German Hospital was sold to a Baptist group and later renamed and closed, is reportedly haunted by cold spots, bad feelings, and moaning sounds, according to Illinois Haunted Houses. The location, which was a hospital and later closed in 2008, may now be a condo complex. Visitors and locals have reported hearing moaning sounds throughout the building. People experience a general sense of unease, "bad feelings," or an unnerving atmosphere within the location. Sudden cold spots are said to appear in various areas of the building, adding to the unsettling atmosphere. The hospital was founded as the German Hospital in 1883 and was renamed Grant Hospital during World War I.
