Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park is reportedly haunted by various phenomena, including reports of ghostly soldiers on the grounds, disembodied sounds of cannons and gunshots, and the inexplicable smell of blood and gunpowder. These spectral experiences are often linked to the historical significance of the site, which was the location of a major Civil War battle between June 18 and July 2, 1864. Visitors and witnesses have reported seeing and hearing the spirits of soldiers, often wandering the area. Sounds of cannons firing and distant gunshots are sometimes heard, despite the presence of historical artillery pieces. Some individuals have reported smelling the distinct scent of blood and gunpowder, even when no such smells are present. There are accounts of "ghost deer" appearing and then disappearing when a witness gets close to them.
