Wayside Antiques / The Antique Emporium in Reddick, Florida, is considered haunted by some visitors, with reports of paranormal activity including full-body apparitions, objects moving, and mysterious writings appearing on reflective surfaces like mirrors. These alleged phenomena are often attributed to the building's history, which began as an early 1900s garment factory and was later the site of a violent jewelry heist in 1986 where the managers were murdered. Guests have reported seeing full-body apparitions, items being thrown or moved, and toys mysteriously changing position. A visitor noted writing "Hi" on a sold mirror that was said to have been cleaned the day before, but the words were not captured by their camera. There have been mentions of sounds or activity on the stairs. The building's history began as a garment factory, first as Oxford Knitting Co. and then Ken Knip, which made undergarments. The building was the site of a violent 1986 jewelry, art, and antique heist. The thieves killed the managers and stole $500,000 worth of items. The next day, the thieves were discovered gagged, bound, and shot.
