Ute Inn Bar and Grill, Woodland Park
The Historic Ute Inn in Woodland Park, Colorado, is rumored to be haunted by several spirits, with employees and patrons reporting multiple paranormal events over the years. Glasses have been reported flying off racks and shattering, and a picture once flew off the wall. Silverware has reportedly been moved by staff, only to be found returned to its original place later. The sounds of footsteps have been heard coming from the back entrance hall. The main television has reportedly turned itself back on after being shut down for the night. Unexplained cold spots appear throughout the building. The scent of a woman's perfume has been smelled when no one wearing perfume is present. A server reported feeling their hair slightly "braised" by an unseen force. The women's bathroom door has reportedly locked itself, only opening again after someone knocks on it. Originally known as the Park Inn, the building was purchased in 1944 by Bert Bergstrom, who renamed it The Ute Inn. Bergstrom was a respected local businessman who lived long enough to become a pillar of the community, serving for decades as the grand marshal of the local rodeo parade. His name is closely tied to the inn's history, and some believe he may be among the spirits who never left.
