The most well-known haunting story at the Clarion Hotel in Greeley, Colorado (formerly a Ramkota hotel and the Chief Theatre) centers on a ghost named Rosy. According to legend, Rosy was a young woman who was murdered by her boyfriend in the building when it was still the Chief Theatre. The legend of Rosy: The legend says that Rosy's boyfriend threw her from the balcony to her death. The subsequent hotel was supposedly built over the site where she died. Rosy is said to enjoy playing pranks and tricks on hotel guests and staff. People have reported seeing her spirit throughout the building. In 2024, an online video documented a paranormal investigation of the hotel, where the investigators sought contact with other alleged spirits, including: "Pegle Johnny": An elusive spirit that investigators looked for on floors 4 through 11. A "little boy ghost": This spirit was the target of an investigation on the 12th floor, where investigators used cat toys to try and communicate with it. A "shadow man": This spirit was the subject of an attempted communication with a night vision camera and flashlight. A war veteran: Investigators used an EMF reader and tried to communicate with this spirit by asking it to turn a flashlight on and off. A judge: It is said that a judge's spirit will turn a TV off or on in the middle of the night.
