He fell in love with John Murphy's daughter, but she left with a wealthy lawyer. In a tragic accident, Johnson accidentally cut his leg while chopping wood, bled to death, and died on the property. His spirit is said to roam the store, specifically the back aisles, women's restroom, and the area that used to be aisle 15C.
