The Domes, Casa Grande

The Casa Grande Domes, demolished in 2023, were once an abandoned, graffiti-covered complex rumored to be one of Arizona's most haunted sites. The paranormal activity was said to stem from alleged Satanic rituals and the site potentially being an ancient Native American burial ground. Visitors and paranormal investigators at the domes reported a range of unnerving experiences. Observers frequently claimed to see menacing dark shapes or shadowy figures lurking inside and around the domes. The unique acoustics of the structures, which amplified the slightest sounds, contributed to the eerie atmosphere. People reported hearing mysterious noises, disembodied voices, and unexplained shuffling. Many who ventured inside felt an overwhelming sense of dread or an unnerving, eerie presence. Some accounts included rocks being thrown and unexplained tapping on cars after dark. Several theories circulated about the source of the alleged hauntings at the domes: After the technology company that built the domes went bankrupt in 1983, the abandoned site became a popular location for trespassers, including rumored devil worshipers. Symbols such as "666" and salt circles were reportedly found inside, leading to stories of black magic, witchcraft, and demonic infestations. Another rumor suggested the domes were built over a Native American burial ground, and construction disturbed the spirits of the tribes. Some paranormal theorists speculated that the unusual, almost UFO-like architecture of the domes could harness energy and create portals to the other side. The paranormal television show Ghost Adventures visited the site in 2017. Their investigation focused on the demonic manifestation allegedly created by the rituals performed in the domes.
