The Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff is known as one of the most haunted hotels in the American Old West, with reported paranormal activity including a Phantom Bellboy, a crying baby in the basement, the infamous "Meatman" in room 220, and the ghosts of two sex workers murdered in room 306, whose spirits are said to still linger and torment guests, particularly men. Guests often report unexplained noises, moving furniture, disembodied voices, and the feeling of being watched, with room 305's rocking chair also a hotspot for ghostly activity. This spirit is said to knock on doors, deliver a muffled "Room service," and cause guests to feel a cold touch. Guests in the hotel's basement report hearing the sounds of a crying infant. The Meatman (Room 220): A former tenant, known as the "Meatman," is believed to haunt room 220 after he died there, leaving the room in disarray. (Room 306): Two sex workers were murdered and their bodies dumped onto the street below, with their spirits reportedly still haunting room 306.
