Ghostly encounters at the current Mountain View Hospital in Gadsden are largely confined to internet lore. Reports claim that during its time as a psychiatric and tuberculosis facility, some patients were supposedly mistreated, and their spirits now linger. Dark, shadowy figures have reportedly been seen throughout the building. Unexplained noises, including disembodied voices, have been documented. One story from a Reddit thread details an EMT's experience in the hospital's basement. A "crystal clear" little girl's voice said, "I'm lost". The EMT's shirt was also tugged on twice.
